The development of Näsby Park continues. The area is beautifully located next to the water in Täby, a suburb only 20 minutes from central Stockholm. Just over half of the homes have already been sold. The first owners moved here during spring of 2020 and soon it is time to welcome more neighbors to the new area. Behind the project is Niam, one of the largest private property owners in the Nordics.
As a Project Developer at Niam, Catharina Nordenberg has been part of the project since the beginning and she can already see great value added, generated from the development, both for the residents and the area.
“The development and sales of the 350 new homes are progressing very well. We are also happy that the current residents have stated that they are pleased with their new homes. The picturesque location by the water, baroque garden and close proximity to many leisure activities, Näsby Park is truly a unique residential area. An important part of the development for Niam has been to preserve the area's nature and carry out a careful renovation of the castle to keep the neighborhood's charm and history intact. We have made Näsby Park more accessible to the public and it is now a vibrant place with many local visitors.
By taking advantage of the area's full potential and its unique conditions, the development of Näsby Park is a good example of how we at Niam utilize our project development skills”.
In the center of the area lies Näsby Castle, buildt in 1665. It offers newly renovated hotel rooms and meeting rooms for conferences as well as a brand-new restaurant; Lilla Slottskrogen. The castle offers premises for parties and weddings as well as a place where you can have abite to eat. The castle also hosts After Work, Afternoon Tea, wine tastings etc. Furthermore, a newly built spa is opening soon.
In addition to the close proximity to golf courses and the marina, the area also offers kayak rentals by Nordic Kayaks as well as coffee and light lunches, served at Lunas Café, which is located in the old gardener's residence. Niam has also signed an agreement with a major gym operator and the existing premises will be renovated during the summer of 2021.
Along the area runs a beach promenade that the municipality will improve with better lighting and more benches. Likewise, new jetties by the water and a large playground will soon be in place.
A unique local heating solution which uses both geothermal heat and the water in the bay, provides all buildings in the area with heat.
The development also includes an elderly care home that was sold to Estea during Q4 2020.
